BraufactuM Returns as an Independent Entity

Starting January 1, 2024, the German craft project BraufactuM will begin a partnership with the BRLO brewery, leaving the offices and facilities of Radeberger Gruppe.

Braufactum was among the first to produce Belgian and English styles in Germany.
Starting in 2010, riding the wave of the “Craft Beer Revolution,” it developed a wide range of beers, always made in compliance with the Purity Law, the Reinheitsgebot.
In the first 10 years of the project, we saw the birth of beers that revived traditional styles while blending them with more modern ones, giving rise to names of great prominence in the brewing landscape: Progusta, Darkon, Marzus, Soleya, and the barrel-aged Arrique and Barrel 1.

After an initial critical period due to the COVID pandemic, during which production came to a halt, the BraufactuM project managed to recover thanks to the intervention of Radeberger Gruppe, which continued to produce the three most successful beers: Progusta, The Brale, and German Pale Ale.

Today, the three founders and curators of the BraufactuM project, Marc Rauschmann, Thorsten Schreiber, and Jochen Rosinus, have decided to move forward by becoming an independent entity through a new collaboration with the craft brewery BRLO.

“We know the German craft beer market – says Marc Rauschmann – with all its opportunities, but also its risks. Working with a leaner company allows us to be more versatile and to return to producing a wider range with smaller batches. We continue to see the great potential of craft beer in the Ho.Re.Ca channel, but it requires special attention and a lot of creativity that only a small and less complex company can guarantee.”

Therefore, starting January 1, 2024, BraufactuM beers will be produced at the BRLO brewery facilities in Berlin Spandau.
According to Rauschmann, “the partnership with BRLO is ideal for us. In Berlin, we have always had better distribution, and this is where our two venues were born (BraufactuM am Alexanderplatz and BraufactuM am Hausvogteiplatz)”.

Another advantage that convinced the Braufactum founders in this choice was BRLO brewery’s extensive experience with dry hopping and other brewing production techniques that could soon become new products on the market.

The return of two great classics, Yakeros and Indra, will not be missing, along with the development of new recipes, limited editions, and seasonal beers, initially focusing production on draft beer in 20-liter kegs, then continuing with bottles and cans.

Braufactum’s goal for the next 5 years is to expand and stabilize a business model, eventually leading to the opening of a brewery.

BraufactuM will, however, continue to be available in Italy through the QBA – Quality Beer Academy project by Radeberger Gruppe.
