10 Years of Quality Beer Academy: Beer Culture to Drink and Share

In 2015, a project was born with an ambitious name and a clear mission: Quality Beer Academy. Ten years in which beer has not only been drunk, but also understood, shared, and experienced. An important milestone that marks the evolution of a project that has become a national reference point for beer culture today.

But what exactly is Quality Beer Academy?

QBA is an education, selection, and promotion project entirely dedicated to quality beer culture.

A reference point for those working in the HORECA sector, for enthusiasts, and for everyone who wants to discover beer in a new, informed, and curious way.

What do we do?

We select high-quality beers, with particular attention to European brewing tradition (Germany, Belgium, Spain, Czech Republic) and contemporary innovations from across the ocean (USA).

We train professionals and enthusiasts with courses, meetings, guided tastings, and events to learn how to understand, serve, and share beer.

We build beer culture, creating bridges between those who produce, those who serve, and those who drink.
A common language, a way to enhance every sip.

A Network, an Academy, a Community

Over these ten years, Quality Beer Academy has grown. Today it is a network of:

  • over 150 selected references with more than 126 different styles
  • thousands of partner establishments, including the best pubs in Italy
  • hundreds of trained operators throughout Italy
  • an enthusiastic and active community that shares passion and the desire to deepen knowledge

For ten years our mission has been the same as on day one: to ensure that every beer is served the right way, shared with the right words, paired with the right dishes.

Ten Years of Collaboration with Slow Food

On this journey we have had a special adventure companion by our side: Slow Food. The QBA brand debuted during Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2015. With Slow Food we share the same vision on the value of gastronomy and beer as culture, pleasure, awareness, and connection to the territory.

Over these 10 years of collaboration, within Slow Food events, we have organized workshops, meetings, tastings, and food pairings together, collaborating with excellent organizations that share the same values as our producers. We have placed beer at the center as a cultural product, agricultural and convivial, sharing its connection to the territory, brewing styles, and biodiversity, between tradition and innovation.

And Now?

And now we look ahead, with the same energy as the beginning. With new beers to discover, new stories to share, new generations to train. Because for us, beer is a serious matter!
